Xapt3r
install guide tutorial
Thanks to: http://home.comcast.net/~cktran/X3installguide/noob.htm
I
noticed there are lots of post in different forums questioning
about if there is a guide to install the new Xapt3r.
TeamXecuter has posted one but it is hard to find so
I want to add this guide as an added bonus. To all honesty,
the Xapt3r is so simple to install even my wife, who
knows nothing about electronics, can do this fairly
easily.
First
step is to install the included holding bolt

Next,
install the Xapt3r. You can feel the pogos go into the
LPC holes. The pogos are sharp but most likely won't
harm your board (unless you use excessive force and
move the Xapt3r around too much). Don't worry about
the Xapt3r wire for now.

Now
install the capping nut

You
need to look at the following image to see where your
D0 point is according to your Xbox version. I obtained
this image from another site of which I can't remember
where to give credit to. For this I apologize if I offend
anyone and humbly request their permission to use it.

Now
insert the Xapt3r wire into the corresponding D0 point.
My board is version 1.4 so it goes in as shown. You
should be able to feel the wire click into the D0 point
if done properly. Gently push the wire in a tad more
to make sure you have good contact.

You
can now test the Xapt3r by plug in the power cable and
turn on the console. 3 blue lights should light up.
Turn off the power and unplug your power cable. Now
plug your X2.6/X2.6CE/X3 or X3CE chip onto the pins
and your install is complete.
